 Symtech Employees develop, populate and maintain databases of varying sizes, the largest of which contains millions of records of people, project and publication data in various scientific fields.For NASA, Symtech personnel use their expertise in SQL programming in the development of databases. The information in these databases are made accessible to NASA scientist and in certain cases to the general public using Web-based applications with search and sorting capabiities. In addition to the development and maintenance of the databases, Symtech is also responsible for selecting and maintaining the hardware housing the databases. Symtech also provides Oracle 9i database support via Web-based applications to over 4500 users throughtout the U.S. Navy. |
